Nursery
Welcome from the Head of EYFS
Thank you for taking the time to discover more about Rendcomb College Nursery and everything we can offer your child in their first steps into the world of education.
The Nursery at Rendcomb College is bright, spacious and designed specifically to enable the children to experience a wide variety of activities.
We fill the rooms with exciting, stimulating equipment which is put in place to enhance all areas of development. Our child-centred approach promotes the development of creativity, individuality and self-confidence through working in partnership with parents to provide the highest standards of nursery care. The children will experience activities, teachings and excitement, in a secure, happy environment, with the focus strongly on play.
Our staff work hard daily to ensure that activities are all well-tailored to every individual need for the children in their care, adapting them as necessary. With a high level of adult support and encouragement, the children work and play in small and large groups to enhance their learning experience.
The school as a whole prides itself on its family atmosphere and this could not be more true than in our nursery. Combined with an unparalleled setting makes Rendcomb Nursery a truly unique and special place for your child to start their journey.
I hope that our website provides you with all the information you need and I look forward to meeting you and your child soon.

We are proud to offer an unparalleled natural, beautiful landscape; bordered by the River Churn and old English woodland, giving the perfect setting for your child to develop and learn in.
Our grounds hold within it our beautiful school, ‘the wilderness’ and forest school, and even a deer park, all of which are used to the fullest of their capability in order to allow your child to grow in a remote forest landscape, making every day seem like an adventure!
Our Aims
Our mission here at Rendcomb College is to develop thoughtful, adventurous and academically ambitious young people who are life-long learners.
We aim to prepare them with the character and skills to succeed in the ever-changing world after school. Our pupils have the freedom to experience, explore and enquire about the world around them. We aim to encourage independence and tolerance in a safe, caring community and magnificent natural environment.
- Our aim at Rendcomb Nursery is to spark the ambition within each child to want to learn and explore the world around them as they progress towards Junior school.
- We teach all children to be thoughtful toward each other and encourage them to socialise positively through group play and activities.
- We want all our children to be adventurous and to try new things that may be challenging for them. This will help them learn to overcome new challenges and help prepare them for the wider world.
