Rendcomb College supports Cirencester Church’s St Nicholas Appeal

Christmas festivities are almost upon us and Rendcomb College Junior School have once again sponsored a tree at Cirencester Parish Church’s Christmas Tree Festival in aid of the St Nicholas Appeal.

The Appeal develops and supports youth and children’s work within the parish of Cirencester.

The Christmas Tree Festival ties in with other festive events taking place in Cirencester including the start of Advent this Sunday, 27 November. As the town’s Christmas lights are switched on this Saturday, 26 November, the Church’s main lights are being switched off leaving just the lights of the Christmas trees on to create a beautiful and magical scene within the Church.

The children at Rendcomb College Junior School, aged 3 to 11, have taken inspiration from the school’s beautiful woodland environment to decorate fir cones to place on the tree. Covered with glitter, pom-poms and tinsel, the children had great fun and are looking forward to the public supporting the Festival and viewing all of the trees in the Church.

The Christmas Tree Festival runs until Thursday, 15 December.
