Small Schools Lacrosse Tournament - 1st and 6th place
On Saturday the 1^st and 2^nd teams represented the college in the Small Schools Lacrosse Tournament. The 2^nd team which had students from Year 9 through to 13 did really well against some extremely tough opposition managing to place 6^th overall in the tournament. A special mention needs to go to Charlotte, Emily, Emaleigh, Issy and Jemima for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

The 1^st team had an interesting beginning to the tournament when goalkeeper Mia hurt herself whilst making an amazing save in the first half of our first game against The Royal School and was unable to participate any further. A special thanks to Charlotte who stepped into the goal for the rest of that game and to Lauren who then played for the rest of the tournament in goal. We narrowly lost this game 4-3.

The next game against Worth School we won 11-0 but not without another injury when Katie fell badly on her ankle. We then went on to win our next two games 9-0 and 9-1 which put us into 2^nd place for the semi-finals. There we found ourselves against The Royal School again. From the first whistle the girls were determined not to let them get the ball and came out victorious 7-3.

And off to the final we went, where we played against Heathfield from Ascot. We dominated the game from the start and any attack they attempted was blocked out by our defence. At half time it was 0-0. With two superbly taken goals in the second half, Rendcomb came out victorious 2-0 to win the tournament. MVP for this game went to Kate for her calm and cool head throughout the game.

Every single member of the team needs to be congratulated for their performance on the day as they were all instrumental in bringing the trophy back to Rendcomb.

U13 South West Lacrosse Tournament - semi finalists
On Saturday the U13 girls travelled to Downe House to take part in the South West tournament. After a fairly sleepy start the girls really got stuck into the tournament and managed to get to the semi-finals of the plate.

The girls listened to all of the coaching points throughout the day and only went from strength to strength, if they continue to take on board the coaching they are getting and working as such a good unit they will become an outstanding team in the future. 

2^nd XI Hockey v Cheltenham College - 5-0
A mighty 5-0 victory for the 2^nd XI on Saturday against Cheltenham College. The team delivered their most accomplished performance of the season and blew the opposition away with excellent passing, water-tight defence and a desire to win every second ball. What was most pleasing was the team spirit, players trusting each other on the ball and the energy with which they attacked and defended until the very last minute. The clean sheet was just as impressive as the goals from Nick, Alfie, Matt and two from Luca. It has been a frustrating season at times, often losing narrowly having been cruelly punished for a mistake but on Saturday everything came together.
