Choral Society

Join this year's Choral Society and be a part of a stunning performance of John Rutter’s Requiem.

The Rendcomb College Choral Society is made up of parents, staff, pupils, Old Rendcombians, friends of the College and meets annually in the Lent Term to perform a large scale choral work with professional instrumentalists and soloists. Recent performances have included Vivaldi’s Gloria (2017) and Haydn’s Nelson Mass (2019). This year’s featured work is John Rutter’s Requiem, which has become a classic of the modern choral repertoire.

In a change from previous years, and has been advertised previously, this year the Choral Society will not be meeting weekly but will instead meet for two workshops before our performance on Monday 1 April at 7.00pm. The dates of the two workshops are Saturday, 2 March 10.00am - 12.45pm and Saturday, 30 March 10.00am - 12.45pm and we are delighted to be able to invite everybody to participate – no experience is necessary and scores and recordings will be available on the day.

For more information please do not hesitate to get in contact with the College’s Director of Music, Dr Tom Edwards, at EdwardsT@rendcombcollege.org.uk
