More than 100 guests attended the awards ceremony that was organised by CheltenhamMaman in collaboration with Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice with all proceeds from the event going to the charity. The awards celebrated all that is brilliant for families in Gloucestershire.

CheltenhamMaman is run by Old Rendcombian Kate Starkey who was named 'Digital Woman of the Year 2017' and has also won the ODEON UK Blog Award in the Parenting category.

In his speech to guests at the event, Head of Juniors at Rendcomb College, Gavin Roberts said: “Family is very much the essence of what Rendcomb College Junior School is all about and, like so many of the organisations and groups represented here tonight, we recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents.

“At Rendcomb, we value an holistic education in its truest sense and we believe firmly that the best classroom has no walls. Our outstanding Forest School is at the centre of our outdoor education provision and all that we do is geared towards developing confidence and a resilience of character within our pupils.

“We were visited recently by reviewers from both the Good Schools Guide and also Muddy Stilettos and described as ‘a place where character comes first and superficiality is correctly dismissed’ and also as having ‘an amazing community spirit and an all-round inclusive family friendly feel.’ It is such qualities that have led us to be here supporting these awards tonight.”
